Characteristics of Osaka cuisine

As I have explained, Osaka became a city of gourmets because it had quality ingredients, good kitchen knives and skilled chefs to use them.

I think Osaka actually has the best Japanese food in Japan. Some people may not agree, but I have already explained why I believe this is so. What other place boasts this unique combination of assets? Many areas in the country have good ingredients, but when it comes to cooking and food in general, I think Osaka is the best.
